The Rays take first place in the little league championships for the Farmington Baseball League - Mustang Division! What a fun-tastic championship game! They ended up playing against the Angels, the only team they lost to all season. It was a close game that went into extra innings, but those little Rays pulled it off. You've never seen a prouder or more excited group of little guys in your whole life. Nerm was just beaming for days. He's received medals before, but this was his first ever trophy. He played a great game. He flinched a little when a very rude dad from the other team started heckling him when he was up to bat, but Nerm showed him and made it to first base on a walk. Of course, "Mean Man" poked the wrong mama bear at that game and received a few words. (Not to worry - I was as polite as I could be!) Then I yelled at Nerm for good luck. The next pitch was a ball that Nerm let go right by and he got the walk to first. He strutted to first base with the biggest smile on his face No apology was necessary from Mr. Mean - Nerm making it to first base was good enough! The season couldn't have ended better.
Good job Rays!!!!

Welcome Home!
The kids are back! They had a great time and we can't wait to see all the pictures they took. I think "Nerm" had the best time by far. He said his favorite thing was the beach....anything that has to do with the beach. And snorkeling - he absolutely LOVED snorkeling. "Bruce" and "Rosie" had a great time, but I think Bruce got a little homesick and Rosie was having major friend withdrawal (not to mention she was without her phone all week!) Bruce made friends with a few geckos (lol not his favorite thing in the world). Poor Nicki came down with what sounded like strep so that wasn't too much fun, but she was still able to have a good time. And tan! Dang that girl can bronze like no one else! It was a little long to be away from home but all in all they had a great time. And I have to admit Den and I enjoyed our time alone. This was the first time in years that I didn't get a little sad and lonely when the kids were gone! (And I LOVED that the house stayed CLEAN! All I had to do for nearly 2 weeks was dust!) We had to cancel our big biking trip due to bad weather. I think it rained 8 out of the 11 days that the kids were gone. That put a damper on our vacation - LITERALLY - but we still enjoyed our time together. We'll just have to plan another week when we can get away for a while. Definitely looking forward to it! And now it's time to get this summer going over here. And I'm going to start by getting these guys out of bed! hahaha Jet lag? Nah!!!!! Besides I'm pretty sure they're expecting it this morning and I'd hate to disappoint them :)

Aloha Oi!
It's finally here! The first official week of summer!!! The kids left Friday for their vacation to Hawaii with Jon. Let's just say they were nervously excited. They were a little apprehensive to go when it came right down to it, but we're sure they'll have a great time! They called Sunday afternoon. Nerm was WAY excited and seemed to be having the time of his life. He talked about everything from having a little Polynesian girlfriend at church (yeah, we'll be discussing that one in more detail when he gets home), sand castles, boogie boarding, and sea turtles. Hunter was missing his friends, Mom and Dad, and was busy trying to figure out different places he could get wi-fi. LOL....techno kids! Nicki is taking it one day at a time. She got her phone taken away during a 3 hour layover at the airport because she was texting (sounds odd....I know...most people like their kids to keep themselves busy at airports). She is missing her friends like crazy!!! And most of all she is looking forward to lots and lots of beach time! I'm sure once she settles in and gets into the swing of things she'll have the time of her life. After all, who can possibly be in Hawaii and have a horrible time?!
Den and I actually had a really nice weekend alone. It's been a long time since we've had time to ourselves! We went on a ride for a couple hours (motorcycle), out to lunch, and then to a movie....a chick flick even - "Letters to Juliet"....LOVED it! We are looking forward to this next weekend so we can get out on the bike again. But I have to say, after an EXTREMELY quiet day at home with the kids gone and Den at work, I've decided about the only good thing about having the kids gone - besides alone time with my hotty hubby when he's home - is that the house stays clean! I walked 4 miles, grocery shopped..including a Costco run, got my hair done, baked, made pasta salad, did a once over on the house, yard work, and it's 3:30 and seems like the house should be bustling with all that after school noise. I forget how quickly I miss it!! But then look how much I got done! Problem is...what to do with the next 10 days?!! LOL

Schools Out for the Summer!!!
Are we excited or what???? Two more days of school for some of us....four for others...but we all feel the same way! It's about time!!! We've been waiting for this forever! The kids leave on Friday for a Hawaii vacation for two weeks. I'm sure they'll have a blast! Den and I are looking forward to having the house to ourselves for a couple weeks and taking a little ike trip to Jackson Hole for a few days. Crossing our fingers that Mother Nature cooperates and we don't get any rain. Have to say I think we're all a little sick of the rain and snow this year!! I'm sure we'll have tons of pictures to post in the upcoming few weeks. Share your vacation plans and summer parties with us!
We'd love to hear what everyone has planned!
Here's to a FUN-tastic summer!!!
